Next morning? He swaggers into breakfast-table with a hay-stack of hair and two road flares for eyes.

The following morning he arrives as if he got hit by a truck.

I could hear Carl snoring and this caused me to rattle fillings. I threw up and lay on the ceiling staring at the ceiling till sunrise.”

Next day, Frank walks in, well rested, with tidy hair, and slurping coffee as though it was vacation time.
