Bridget Moynahan is finally happy in love again, years after she and pro player Tom Brady broke up.

Bridget Moynahan, who was 52 at the time, talked about her unexpected journey as a single mother in a 2008 interview with Harper’s Bazaar. “I never thought I would raise a child alone,” she added. “I want something like that in my life as a partner, lover, and friend.”
The actress, who used to be a model, was astonished to find out she was pregnant. Moynahan also found it hard because she believed in marriage before having kids.
In the same Harper’s Bazaar interview, Moynahan said, “I’m a traditional girl, and I believe in marriage.” I always believed that getting married would be the first step in starting a family. For a moment, I couldn’t believe that this was how I was going to do it.
Tom Brady’s love life
People say that Moynahan’s relationship with former NFL player Tom Brady ended “amicably” in early December 2006. But things changed when she found out she was three months pregnant soon after they split up.
Brady had already moved on with supermodel Gisele Bündchen (whom he allegedly met on a blind date the same month he broke up with Moynahan, according to WSJ Magazine), which made matters even more confusing.
Moynahan said that going through a pregnancy and having a child while being in the public glare was “traumatic” for her and made her realize that “I’m not sure anyone—and I could be wrong in this—grows up thinking, ‘I want to be a single mom.'”
Vogue France says that Brady and Bündchen got married in February 2009, when Moynahan was busy taking care of her baby Jack. Ten months later, they had their first child, Benjamin. Then, in December 2012, they had their second child, Vivian. Sadly, they broke up in 2022 after dating for 13 years.
Bündchen spoke about how hard it was for her that Brady and Moynahan were having a kid in her book. “Two months into our relationship, Tom told me that his ex-girlfriend was pregnant,” she stated. The next day, the word traveled quickly and changed everything for me.
Moynahan eventually found consolation in her son, John “Jack” Edward Thomas, who was born in 2007.
Moynahan loves being a mom.
Moynahan spoke about how hard things were for her in her 2019 book, Our Shoes, Our Selves. She said that being in public made her feel uneasy. “Having a baby should have been the happiest time of my life, but instead, I felt attacked,” she wrote.
She liked being a mother, even if it was hard, since she knew it made her happier than her jobs as a model and actress ever could.
