Crocodile attacks are not so common but in most cases prove to be fatal.
In 2022, Australian officials had to kill a crocodile that bit a woman to death. The attacker was believed to have attacked a 38 year old woman who was swimming in the water at the Butler Cove of Lake Argyle.
It was destroyed since the crocodile was a supposedly problem animal.
According to a statement released by the Department of Biodiversity and Conservation at the time, the behaviour of crocodile coming near the boat, as well as the events of the previous day, were reconciled as per what the employees would label as a problem animal.
With safety in mind to guarantee the safety of the populace in the common recreation and swimming area and taken into consideration community events like the annual swim at Lake Argyle event scheduled this weekend where hundreds of swimmers are expected, the workers killed the animal.
