Easy 3-Ingredient Chicken Drumsticks You Can Make in a Slow Cooker

The major flavor comes from the honey BBQ sauce, which has a sweet and smokey balance that everyone enjoys. This dish needs soy sauce to work. A few spoonfuls give the right amount of salt to balance out the sweetness of the BBQ and add depth and umami. It is quite easy to do. To begin, place the uncooked chicken drumsticks at the bottom of the slow cooker. You don’t have to cook or season the meat very much; the sauces do all the work. Put the honey barbecue sauce straight on top of the chicken, and then add a few tablespoons of soy sauce. Mix gently with a spoon or tongs, making sure that each drumstick is well covered. After that, cover the slow cooker, set it, and let it be. On LOW, it takes about 6 to 7 hours for the chicken to get really soft. If you don’t have a lot of time, HIGH for 3 to 4 hours will still perform great.

 

 

 

 

When it’s done, the chicken will be juicy on the inside, full of taste, and covered in a thick, glistening sauce that looks like it came from a restaurant. You can serve it straight from the pot, but if you want it to taste better, broil the drumsticks for five minutes. The outside gets a little bit caramelized, and the crust is both crisp and sticky. It goes from great to impossible to resist.

 

 

Even though it only contains three parts, you may easily make the base recipe your own. Want some warmth? Add a teaspoon of red pepper flakes or a few drops of hot sauce before you cook. Do you like the taste of garlic? Add two or three finely chopped cloves at the beginning to give it extra flavor. If you want to prepare a dinner in one pot, add some chopped carrots, tiny potatoes, or even green beans around the chicken. The liquids will cook them precisely, and they will soak up all the excellent flavor.
