Co-host of the podcast Two Ts In A Pod and fitness industry entrepreneur Teddi Mellencamp revealed to her fans that she has stage 4 melanoma.
“I’m fighting for my life,” Mellencamp, who appeared on the reality show The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for three seasons, said to Us Weekly at the time. but also for the lives of my loved ones and my family.
She explained on social media in February that she had been suffering from excruciating headaches. After seeing a doctor, they found several tumors in her brain, and on February 12 they surgically removed two of them.
After receiving a melanoma diagnosis in 2022, Mellencamp’s illness has since spread to her brain and lungs.

In April, she stated, “I kind of thought that I had already beaten it.” A few days later, I discovered that I had four more tumors. Thus, there are a lot of distinct highs and lows.
Speaking about her children with her ex-husband Edwin Arroyave, the health coach also discussed the impact her diagnosis has had on them.
“We all just try to be there for each other and find wonderful moments that we can have, whether it was good or bad news.
She went on, “I know everyone says this, but I have really good kids.” “One of the main things that has made it so much better is laughter.”
She bravely displayed her scars during a forceful performance at a cancer benefit last week following her brain surgery. Mellencamp declined to don a wig for the occasion.
The daily choice between wearing a wig and not wearing one. She posted a selfie with a full blonde wig on Instagram, writing, “On crying days, I tend to pick the wig.”
She remarked, “This is my first night out since I left the hospital.” “I feel fine. Even though it seems so terrible right now, things will get better.
Mellencamp posted a favorable update on Instagram in her most recent video, stating that after therapy, her tumors have “shrunk or disappeared.”
She has been undergoing immunotherapy in addition to radiation treatment.
“I couldn’t wait to share one update!” Mellencamp captioned the photo. My stage 4 tumors (metastasized melanoma in my brain and lungs) have all shrunk or vanished, so I have about six more weeks of immunotherapy left, and if all goes according to plan, the doctors say I will be cured. We appreciate all of the love, prayers, and encouragement that has been offered.

“I have two more immunotherapy sessions left, and hopefully I’ll be done and cancer-free,” she added. My doctor just spoke to me in a good manner, therefore I’m going to maintain that attitude. “You did this,” he says. You had that Mellencamp blood, and you got this. You’re all right, then.
With a 35% five-year survival rate, stage 4 cancer is the most advanced stage of the disease, according to the American Cancer Society.
