Commonwealth Bank has had another outage that has made it hard for thousands of customers to complete their online banking.
Around midday on Thursday, more than 7,000 people said they were having problems with both ATMs and online banking.
CBA put up a message on its website saying, “some of our services are currently unavailable, and we’re working hard to fix this.”
People complained on social media about the outage, which is the second one to afflict the huge bank in less than two weeks.
“LOL, not Commbank down again!” What is wrong with these people? Thank God I can open more than one account. It’s not your money in banks, and it’s not safe. Put it in cash or crypto. “Unreal,” said one individual on X.

“Here we go again, another outage.” Someone another said, “CommBank, that’s not good enough.”
“Hey @CommBank, What’s going on with the internet bank? A third person noted, “This happens every time I try to log in to the app.” For well than an hour now, this has been going on.
Commonwealth Bank has had another irritating outage, and thousands of customers can’t get to their online banking (stock).
“Down again?” A fourth person said, “I can’t get to my app to pay for lunch.”
People in Victoria and Sydney seem to be affected by the outage, although it is believed to be happening all throughout the country.
Some clients said that the balances on their joint accounts with their partners were different.
A CBA spokesperson told the Daily Mail, “Some of our services were down for about an hour before they started coming back online.”
“All services are back up and running.”
“We’re sorry and thank our customers for being patient.”
It comes just two weeks after the Commonwealth Bank had to put back its planned maintenance on a busy Saturday morning, which caused a lot of trouble for customers.
A lot of angry customers couldn’t go to their online banking.

On Thursday, Down Detector collected complaints of the outage from up to 7,000 people in less than an hour.

One unhappy customer posted on X, “I just lost my spot for my specialist appointment and might have to wait 6 to 8 months for another one.”
“I’ve been trying to pay all night and this morning, but I can’t get the money to move.” Someone else said, “This is not okay.”
“Really insane.” Do your maintenance job at night. A third person said, “It’s Saturday morning, and my cards won’t work.”
Someone else urged the bank to do maintenance on Sundays “like normal tech companies.”
