A well-known rights group called the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights stated that Assad was released from a hospital on the outskirts of Moscow on Monday, citing a “private source.”
The insider added that Assad “had been poisoned” and that the killing was meant to “embarrass the Russian government and accuse it of being involved” in his death.
The story said that Assad’s health was now “stable.”
During a big security operation, it was stated that only his brother Maher Assad could see him in the hospital.
The Russian government hasn’t stated anything about the charges yet.
There were earlier accusations that he was brought to the hospital in “critical condition” after being poisoned, but these have not been proven.
