Patrick Murray, a well-known actor from the show Only Fools and Horses, died at the age of 68 after a battle with lung cancer.
People mostly know the actor for his role as Mickey Pearce, a Cockney chancer, in the famous BBC comedy show. Nicholas Lyndhurst played Rodney Trotter, while David Jason played Del Boy.
He had lung cancer before, but doctors said he was well. A year later, the sickness came back and spread to his pelvis and legs.
The Only Fools and Horses Appreciation Society put a message on Facebook to pay tribute to the performer.
“We are very sad to say that our friend Patrick Murray, who many people knew as Mickey Pearce, has died,” they stated.
“We will miss his jokes and the joy he offered to so many people. He went to our conferences all the time.
“Pat, have a good night’s sleep!”
The Only Fools podcast remarked, “This never gets easier…” Rest in peace, Patrick Murray.
“Patrick was a highly sharp and gifted actor who knew how to time things perfectly. His playful charm really brought “Mickey Pearce” to life.

He was already well-known for the violent criminal drama Scum from the 1970s and the movie Quadrophenia about The Who.
Mickey’s habit of making his business and relationship triumphs sound bigger than they were often made his fans giggle.
He also used Rodney a lot because he was young and stupid.
Patrick went on to star in a number of movies, including Curse of the Pink Panther and The Firm.
He went to Alcoholics Anonymous because he had problems with alcohol. He then quit the glittering world of show business to drive a cab in Kent.
After experiencing issues with alcohol, he joined to Alcoholics Anonymous. After that, he quit show business and became a cab driver in Kent. Patrick, his wife Anong, and their daughter Josie are all in the image.

“After the surgery in October to remove the tumor, I had chemotherapy to help keep the cancer from coming back.”
“While I was having this treatment, doctors found another tumor in my liver. I was able to treat this cancer because it wasn’t related to the lung cancer.
“I had a TACE surgery to fix this. Last Friday, I saw my cancer doctor. She reported that the liver tumor was becoming smaller and that the lung cancer was gone.
He said, “It’s not over yet, but I’m very happy with this latest news.”
Patrick died after John Challis, who played Terrance Aubrey “Boycie” on Only Fools & Horses, died in 2021.
Today, John’s wife, Carol, paid her own tribute to Patrick by posting, “My condolences to Pat’s beloved wife, Anong, and their daughter, Josie.”
