Helen made the boss’s wife annoyed when she came to the living room and asked for a raise.
Now, Helen, why do you believe that you deserve a raise in your pay?
Helen directly told Rochelle, “Three factors played a role.”
The first reason is—I do a better job of ironing.
“What?” shot back the wife.
“Your husband.”
“Oh really…”
Helen talked on as if nothing had happened. A second reason is that I know how to cook better than you do.
Hold up there for a moment! Where did this story come from?”
“Again, he is the one.”
Her jaw kept tightening in silence. “Why is the third reason important as well?”
Helen smiled. I am more successful with… certain activities … than you are.
The wife began to look at him with a curious look. Has my husband ever said anything like that?
“That isn’t correct,” replied Helen. The gardener is the one who did it.
Helen has a new job at another house. They earn much more money.
The wife says, “You always forget about our anniversary.”
Husband: “I don’t think so! That day is always clear in my memory. I never remember the purpose of it.
I have always wanted a dog. She really wanted to have a cat. We decided to settle on something between the two.”
Friend: “What kind of chocolate did you go for?”
A cat, that’s what I am. We settled the argument by doing as she wanted.
There was a huge conflict between a husband and wife and they were not talking. For the sake of winning, the husband wrote down a note.
Please, wake me at 6 in the morning. I am flying away soon.”
The following morning, he woke at 9 a.m. and so he yelled at his sleeping wife as he expected. Then he glanced at the table and spotted a short note:
You note that it is 6 a.m. so you start your day.
Touché.
It is said that women generally outlive men. Do you want to know the reason why?
This happens only because they do not have a wife.
Wife: “How do you feel about how much weight I have put on?”
Husband: (Expressing understanding) “Do you want my genuine opinion or what would be considered the right answer?”
He told me, “I got you a surprise for our anniversary!”
Oh, that’s really nice. What am I as I listen to music?
Remember that you always wished the car would go from 0 to 100 in a flash?
Wife screams in surprise: “A sports car?!”
Husband: “Nope. A bathroom scale is needed.”
He is resting in the guest room at present.
To be honest (or maybe dishonest), marriage can sometimes be tough. It features arguments about the thermostat, midnight snoring tussles and usually at least one bout of ignoring each other. But sharing humor, even when it’s playful, can turn what feels like a hard day into a time we share.
These humorous accounts help us understand that life and love can be full of sudden events and perhaps the only thing to do is laugh. As a matter of fact, laughter brings about laughter which takes away the pressure.
Which one made you laugh the most of all? Have a hilarious memory from your own marriage? Share it below if you can, since we never have enough reasons to smile.
