According to a statement from his family, Duck Dynasty actor and patriarch Phil Robertson has away at the age of 79.
Willie Robertson’s wife, Korie Robertson, wrote on Facebook, “We celebrate today that our father, husband, and grandfather, Phil Robertson, is now with the Lord.”
Thank you for the prayers and affection of so many people whose lives have been touched by his brave faith, his passion to share the Good News of Jesus with everyone who will listen, and his life saved by grace. Until we see him again, we shall carry on the tradition of love for God and humanity, and we are thankful for his time here on Earth,” the post went on.
After starting the Duck Commander hunting company, which grew to be a multimillion dollar enterprise, Phil Robertson became well-known.
The Robertson family became well-known celebrities as a result of the 2012–2017 reality series Duck Dynasty, which chronicled their life. In fact, only a year after its premiere, the show became the most-watched nonfiction cable series in history.
Phil Robertson was a football player at Louisiana Tech before he became a TV personality.
In a social media message, the school, where he was a starting quarterback, offered their respects.
They released a statement saying, “We are saddened to learn of the passing of former LA Tech quarterback, Phil Robertson.” “The Robertson family is in our prayers and thoughts at this time.”

“My Papaw Phil went home to the Lord today,” wrote Will Robertson, his grandson, alongside a picture of him as a child. His dedication to God, his life, and his witness were all extremely potent [sic].
I will always be appreciative of his time here on Earth, and I’m glad to know that he’s conversing with Jesus while lounging in his recliner. I adore you, Papaw 🩶.
During a December episode of Unashamed with the Robertson Family, Robertson revealed his Alzheimer’s diagnosis to the public.
Willie, his son, told Fox News Digital at the time that his father was “fighting a lot of different things at the moment.”
He has a blood condition in addition to mental health problems that may be early [on-set] Alzheimer’s. and most likely a few minor strokes due to his blood,” Willie told the magazine. “There may be some stroke-related issues that have occurred. Thus, we continue to monitor all of it.
However, he also has a back problem. His back is shattered, which is the source of his agony. He’s essentially fighting a lot of different issues at once.
Duck Dynasty: The Revival, which premieres this summer, will bring the Robertson family back to television. As they carry on the family’s tradition, it will highlight the lives of Willie and Korie Robertson, their grown children, and their grandchildren.
