Joe Biden, the former President, has been diagnosed with a type of prostate cancer that is very aggressive.
Now, after being quiet for some time, Donald Trump speaks out and offers his views on Biden’s health problems.
Aggressive diagnosis
For a long time, Donald Trump and Joe Biden have hurled insults at one another, but Sunday’s terrible news could bring some peace between them.
On May 18, it was officially announced by the office of the former 82-year-old president that Joe Biden has cancer that has reached his bones.
The announcement made the following statement: “Last week, President Joe Biden saw a doctor because of urinary issues and discovered a prostate nodule. On that day, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer which scored 9 on the Gleason scale (Grade Group 5) and had spread to the bone.
He went on to say:
While this cancer is more severe, it acts in a way that responds well to hormone treatments. The President and his family are discussing the best treatment plans with the doctors involved.
Worries about Biden’s health have arisen many times among voters in the past several years. After being involved in an intense debate with Donald Trump and dealing with health questions, Biden decided to quit the presidential race three months before Election Day and handed over the task to Vice President Harris.
Trump makes a statement for the first time since leaving office.
There was speculation that Biden had Alzheimer’s after one of his press conferences, but Jean-Pierre spoke publicly to deny this.
His rival and predecessor, Donald Trump, has made a surprisingly kind statement as Biden’s health is back in the news.
On Truth Social, Trump wrote the following:
We are sad to have learned about Joe Biden’s recent health problem. We are sending our warmest and kindest wishes to Jill, asking for good health and luck for Joe.
After Biden left the race, Vice President Kamala Harris exchanged kind words with him, describing him as a tough fighter.
Doug and I are sad to hear that President Biden has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. We are sending love and prayers to Dr. Biden and the entire family at this time, Harris said on X. “As a fighter, Joe will tackle this challenge with his usual strength and positive attitude.” We wish the patient a quick and full recovery.
Biden has gone through a fierce battle with cancer.
This isn’t the first time cancer has affected Joe Biden.
During his final year as president, he had surgery to remove a cancerous tumor. Before being president, Donald Trump was treated for skin cancer.
Regardless of his own health conditions, Biden has continued his strong support for fighting cancer, especially following his son Beau’s death from brain cancer four years ago.
