Molly McGovern, the daughter of James McGovern, an American politician who serves Massachusetts, died while on vacation in Italy.
When she had dinner with her friends, the 23-year-old suddenly began to feel nauseous.
Shortly after becoming 18, Molly was diagnosed with an uncommon form of cancer by her family; however, she lived her days to the fullest after the diagnosis.
Her mother, Lisa McGovern, said in her eulogy, “Kim had a wonderful 23 years, and who would have guessed the last years would be the best ones.” “There were little miracles everywhere.”
He recounted the experiences he had with his daughter, who was taken from him way before their time together ended.
“Molly radiated pure joy. Her contagious smile filled every area she went to, filled with laughter and warmth, and quick wit that could change your mind right away.”
Molly chose Northeastern University and studied for a bachelor’s degree in political science and international affairs.

She showed kindness to all, making others feel special as she was convinced each person had something unique. She was kind and caring towards everyone and liked to protect those who needed it.
Molly’s dad says that Molly always pressed forward after her cancer diagnosis.
Recently, Augusta spent some months studying in Australia.
Her brother Patrick claimed that he and Molly always talked on the phone or on video calls each day.
He said that Molly would always be the heart of their family. We are very proud of her and are thankful that many people were influenced by her wonderful life. Molly, knowing how much we love you puts a smile on our faces, even as we miss you already.”
