DTS 5.1 Music CD provides an alternative cost effective way of producing an exquisite surround release without the expense and added complications of a full DVD-Audio release. This may be suitable for audiophile projects on a tight budget or projects which do not require visual content. For home entertainment systems offering DTS support, the DTS 5.1 Music CD presents a very viable option. In addition to surround discs, a High Resolution 24/88.2 Stereo DTS-CD can be created for the ultimate in Audiophile quality CD. Utilisng DTS-Pro series encoders ensures these DTS Music CDs are fully compatible in all DTS equipped systems.

The karaoke CD+G (Compact Disc plus Graphics) differs from the standard audio CD in that graphic data (lyrics and images) is embedded in the unused sub-channel of the disc. Only the audio portion of a CD+G disc will play in a standard CD player. A karaoke player will play the audio portion and also display the graphics on a monitor.

Super CDG or SCDG is a relatively new format which provides for hundreds of karaoke songs on a single disc. An SCDG player is needed to play these discs.

Ideal for Music CDs, and Audio Books on CD
If you need a professional service at reasonable rates for small numbers of pressed CDs, we start from as low as 300 copies - so you have the chance to test your market without a huge initial investment. The unit cost is higher, of course, but once the Glass Master is made, any subsequent runs of the same audio material will be less costly. To keep the overall costs down you may opt for single-colour on-body printing, directly onto the silver disc surface.

Your pressed music and audio CDs can be delivered on spindles, or packed into clear plastic sleeves, jewel cases, or other packaging of your choice, with printed booklets and inlays if required. We provide you with all the templates you need to produce the artwork for your CD production. If you are selling in retail stores you will want the packs cellophane-wrapped, and if you wish we can help you obtain your own Bar Codes. The Master for music replication can be provided on Exabyte tape or properly mastered, high quality, audio CD-R.

For quantities of 500 or more replicated CDs the unit cost falls significantly as volume increases. The standard glass mastering charge is £150 but for quantities over 2000 copies this is included in the disc price. You have a choice of full-colour silkscreen or offset litho on-body printing. The discs can be returned to you on spindles, or in the packaging of your choice, for example plastic wallets, jewel cases (with or without printed inserts), Amaray-style cases, Lansing Packs or Digipaks. We specialize in offering customised packaging solutions to enhance your CD production.

Music labels can use Sony's key2audioXS™ to drive traffic to their Web site and open one-to-one marketing opportunities directly with consumers. It allows labels to offer value-added features, such as bonus content, artist information or discounted CD sales, exclusively to customers who purchase original discs. In other words, everybody wins: consumers get added value for their purchase and the publisher gets the consumers back into the record stores.
