INTRODUCTION
In celebration of the 20th Anniversary of Davis Rubin Associates
Limited, DRA is both proud and privileged to host the excellent art
and design work of John Jarvis Designs "Beyond The Lens". John's work is unique
and provides a rich resource to budding artists, photographers and web designers. It is with
great pleasure that we welcome John Jarvis Designs as the first member
of our affiliate program.
MISSION
To
show that with the aid of a digital camera and a PC it is possible
to create unique works of art almost anywhere.
HISTORY
As a
schoolboy my worst subject was Art-I couldn't draw, sketch or paint
and consistently obtained the lowest of low marks.
During
twenty-seven years in the Royal Air Force and seventeen years with
the Home Office I was lucky enough to travel abroad extensively and
with me went my camera of the period. I developed an 'eye' for what
makes a good picture but I still couldn't draw, sketch or paint a
decent picture.
I purchased my first PC on retirement and was
intrigued by the early Graphic and Draw programmes. At last I could
produce unique pictures. The purchase of a digital camera a couple
of years later put the icing on the cake.
USAGE
Non Commercial Use
For educational and personal use, a free Gallery will show examples of my work with the
hope that viewers will be encouraged to produce their own designs.

Archive CDs
Archive design images are
available on CD at a nominal cost. Please note that the resolution of images contained on the
archive CDs are superior to the image resolution of those images displayed in the Gallery.
