DVD-Video Lock offers an innovative approach to providing highly effective DVD-Video copy control. This DVD technology provides
individuals, authoring studios and independent movie production companies with an affordable DVD-Video copy protection method to
protect their valuable assets.
The data files on a DVD-Video disc are protected using a passive software solution. This encapsulates the files, preventing any
unauthorised access to disc content by common ripping programs, thus providing a high level of digital copy protection. Since copy
control is applied in areas of the disc that are not read by DVD players during playback, the original media content is not modified
in any way and play-back quality remains unaffected.
- DVD-Video Lock is designed to provide effective 'speed bump' protection from unauthorised casual copying.
- Copy controlled discs have full playability which matches playability levels of unprotected DVD-Rs in both DVD players and PC DVD drives.
- Copy controlled discs are compatible with both 32bit and 64 bit PCs, running standard operating systems including Linux, Windows XP, Vista and Mac OS.
- Copy controlled discs may be supplied in quantities from as few as 10 discs to several thousand.

The Process:
The DVD-Video Lock software authoring program is applied to correctly authored DVD-Video files and adds copy protection to the ISO image file prior to burning.
The protected ISO file is used to create a master DVD-Video disc which is then manufactured (duplicated or replicated) under license.

- Properly authored DVD-Video files are supplied by you on high-quality DVD-R disc media
- Unprotected ISO image file is created from files supplied
- DVD-Video Lock copy control software is applied to create the copy protected ISO image file
- This copy protected ISO image file is used to create the Master copy protected DVD-Video disc
- Manufacture of copy protected DVD-Video discs from the copy protected master disc proceeds using disc duplication or replication techniques
Resulting discs are copy protected against digital copying techniques.

Independent Testing:
Independent external testing has been carried out on our DVD Copy Control technology and confirms that reliable levels of protection from mass market
ripping programs is achieved, whilst maintaining full playability of the protected disc in DVD players and DVD drives.
- Security tests confirm that discs burnt with our passive DVD-Video Lock authoring software do not load any software onto PC operating systems.
Also there is no unexpected, undesirable, or malicious actions taken on the system upon which such a DVD is used.
