DVD-AUDIO AND DVD-A / VIDEO

DVD Audio (DVD-A) offers superior sound quality. Including a DVD-Video (DVD-V) section with both DTS (Digital Theatre Sound) and Dolby Digital ensures DVD-A replicated discs will play on all DVD players.

DVD Audio (DVD-A) offers resolutions from CD quality at 16/44.1 all the way up to 24/192 in Stereo - and 24/96 in 5.1 Surround. In addition there is the optional inclusion of a DVD-V section containing both DTS (Digital Theatre Sound) and Dolby Digital. DVD-A titles will play on ALL DVD players - not just DVD-Audio capable systems. The DTS option provides superior sound quality that is particularly suited to multi-channel music recordings. In addition, any DTS discs produced will be registered with DTS and automatically included in their official, freely distributed catalogue of DTS encoded titles.

DVD-Audio has been specifically designed with high quality audio playback providing increased bit depth and sampling frequencies. The result is a a higher dynamic range and extended frequency response and high resolution surround sound which creates music in a much more natural way than was ever possible with ordinary CD audio discs. DVD-Audio exceeds the expectations of even the most fervent audiophile - offering music with negligible audio signal degradation.

DVD-Audio authoring services may include many extras: linked lyric sheets, Photo galleries, videos, ROM content and "hidden" groups. Final masters may be written to DLT or DVD-R (as either a DDP image suitable for replication or a playable disc).

If required, a more traditional Music DVD without the high resolution component may be provided. This is particularly appropriate if Video is required as part of the final product, and the accompanying Audio can be in LPCM Stereo, Dolby Digital Stereo, Dolby Digital Surround or DTS Digital Surround - or any combination of the above!

DTS Music CD: DTS 5.1 Music CD provides an alternative cost effective way of producing a surround release without the expense and added complications of a full DVD-Audio release. This may be suitable for projects on a tight budget or projects which do not require visual content. For home entertainment systems offering DTS support, the DTS 5.1 Music CD presents a truly viable option. In addition to surround discs, a High Resolution 24/88.2 Stereo DTS-CD can be created for the ultimate in Audiophile quality CD. Utilising DTS-Pro series encoders ensures these DTS Music CDs are fully compatible in all DTS equipped systems.
